4、nce of the whole dissertation by answering the questions on the process of selection, the significance of the selected topic, the main objective of the research and the basic considerations. As th

5、e first part, Chapter 1 tries to comment on the background of the orientation and the development of the British secondary vocational education within the economic and educational environment in the 20th century. T

6、he second part contains of the key contents of the dissertation that covers Chapter 2 to Chapter 6. Four aspects are argued at different phases of the British secondary vocational education in the 2

7、0th century: First, the sequence of the development; Second, the difficulties and problems met in the development; Third, policies and regulations that were implemented by the British government and their effects; Fourth

8、, in order to meet the social demand, what reformation had been taken by the British government? Chapter 7 forms the third part that concludes the dissertation. In this part, the writer tries to arg

9、ue the reasons and consequences of the evolution of the British vocational education so as to show the experiences and lessons that China should learn from in accordance with China’s current situation. K
