3、the Water Margin, the Imprudent Discourse of Ye Sou and some other famous novels probed the nature of Confucianism; Journey to the West and A Dream of Red Mansion advocated Buddhism; Diary of the Madman, written by the L

4、uxun, is a model emphasesing the theory of Confucianism; novels written by Xu Dishan who is famous for his religious-themed novels, and the works of the famous playwright Cao Yu were more or less influenced by Christiani

5、ty; Initiated Into Monkhood,written by the local native writer Wang Zengqi, help the readers to better understand the profound Buddha culture.However, novels of Lin Yutang were based on Taoism, and had achieved great suc

6、cess. Lin Yu tang had a great understanding of both western and eastern cultures and committed himself in appreciating literature of different countries. This article will demonstrate Lin Yutang's culture perspective
