2、 Abstract The subject of this study is focused on the thought of the language materials of Zhu Shao Yu. Mr. Zhu is a contemporary distinguished Language Education Theorist and has been very influential in the field
3、of language education in China. He’s had practical experiences over the past half a century. His point of views and research fruits gradually come together as the Language Education Thought of Zhu Shao Yu. His thought ha
4、s also made strong and profound impact on the language education theories with his devotion into the writing, editing and researching. The core element of his language education thought is the thought of Zhu Shao Yu Lang
5、uage Materials. The purpose of this research is to reveal the essence of Zhu Shao Yu’s thought by concluding the thought of his language materials. And at the end, this study attempts to illicit the practical value and t
6、he foundation of development of Zhu Shao Yu Language Materials. Based on the researches of Zhu Shao Yu teaching materials and the researches introducing the thought of his teaching materials, interviews, historical resea
7、rches analysis and comparative analysis are applied in order to systematically understanding the content of the thought of Zhu Shao Yu Language Materials. It concluded the nature of the thought of his materials, the thou
8、ght of organization, and the thought of editing. There are six parts in this research: The first part is the description of this research. It is described through elaboration of the background and research motives, the o
9、bject of research and current state, and the researching method and content. Secondly, three perspectives are applied to approach the teaching materials research: curriculum, teaching method and teaching material. Thirdl
10、y, the study of the nature of the teaching materials of Zhu Shao Yu. Four aspects are researched: the historical and developmental aspect; the characteristics of the language teaching materials; the value of the language
11、 teaching materials; and the thought of the editing of the materials. The nature of the thought of Zhu Shao Yu’s language teaching materials are systematically described. Fourthly, the study of the thought of editing of
12、the language teaching materials of Zhu Shao Yu. Three directions are applied: school, style and editing. One of the very vivid characteristics of Zhu Shao Yu teaching materials thought is that he started from the angle o
13、f teaching materials editing and writing. He divided the different schools and styles of language teaching materials. It was rather refreshing. On the other hand, he also set the principles and standards for teaching mat
14、erials writing and editing from his own experiences. Fifthly, the study of the thought of language teaching materials evaluation. It basically concluded the evaluation system of teaching materials in China and overseas
15、and the standards for evaluation. Sixthly, the practical meaning and the developmental foundation of Zhu Shao Yu language teaching materials. Three aspects are examined: the practical meaning of his materials: the inspi
16、rations that he has made to III language teachers; the inspirations that he has made to language teaching materials writers and editors; and the inspirations he has made to language teaching theorists. Key words: Zhu Sha
