3、e development is increasing day by day. The Chinese government is trying to find a new way to enjoy a better return, lower emission, better sustainable and lower cost. streetlight and control the streetlight according to

4、 terminal control. Fig.1 shows the overall frame of the intelligent streetlight monitoring system. This system contains up to 100 groups of control networks, and each group of control network has utmost 100 terminal node

5、s. In the end of each group of control network, there is a special node calls transition node, when is installed on the streetlight and contains a GSM/GPRS module in order to communicate with the terminal node and the

6、sink node. The terminal node is also installed on the streetlight. Because there's no distance limitation when using GSM/GPRS, this system can achieve the remote monitor of streetlight with longer distance and larger

7、 scales.This system can provide a real-time picture of the whole streetlight network for the workers in the control center in order to manager the system easily. Once the data measured becomes abnormal, under such circum

8、stance as high temperature, high humidity, high voltage, the system will alarm automatically and inform engineers at once, or shut down to protect the streetlight itself. Moreover, the center can control the streetlights

9、 based on the data measured. For example, the light will be off automatically in the morning; on when in the dark day or rainy day; the control center can tum on every other streetlight or the streetlights on either side

10、. In addition, the data measured can be saved in the database in the control center and be read or researched anytime to improve the control of streetlight.The whole system contains 3 kinds of nodes. They are terminal no
