2、laging.Methods:(1)Thediscriminatingstandardofsuccessfulagingwasdeterminedthrougharetrospectivecohortstudy.Thefirstsurveywasdonein1987forbaselinescreeningthesecondwasfollowedupfiveyearslaterin1992toverifythestandard.(2)Th

3、epsychosocialfactorsandtheneuropsychologicalprofileofsuccessfulagingwereexploredintwocrosssectionalstudiesonelargesamplestudyforaged65andoverandonesmallsamplestudydrawnfromthelargeforfurtherdetailedstudy.Theinstrumentsus

4、edweretheShanghaiHealthSurveyforElderly(VER2000S.A.2000)inCommunitywhichwaspurposelydevelopedforthestudyandWHOBCAIE(WHOBatteryofCognitiveAssessmentInstrumentforElderly).(3)Onewayanalysisandmultiplevariableanalysiswereemp

5、loyedaccordingtothecharacteristicsofthedistributionofdata.ThestatisticalsoftwareusedthroughouttheanalysiswereSPSS6.1andSAS6.12.Results:(1)Aftertestingdiferentcombinationsofindexesthefollowingparameterswereemergedasthebes

6、tmodelforsuccessfulaginginChineseelderlypopulation:CMMSE(ChineseversionMinimentalStatusExamination)totalscore4pointabovethecutofpointormoreADL(ActivityofDailyLiving14items)totalscorelessthanorequalto15fairorbetermoodself

7、evaluationandnophysicaldisabilities.(2)Thediscriminatingstandardwasquitestablewhenappliedtothefollowupstudy.Theweightedprevalenceofsuccessfulagingforelderly(aged60orabove)livingincommunitywas49.67%(95%Cl:47.800x51.34%).M

8、alelessagedandhighereducationallevelhadhigherprobabilitytobesuccessfulaging.Itwasalsoconfirmedthatthehealthybehaviorsattributetosuccessfulaginginthefuture.(3)Theprevalenceofsuccessfulagingusualagingandmildcognitiveimpair

9、ment(MCI)groupsinthelargesamplecrosssectionalstudywith1516individualslivingincommunityagedorabovehadwere46.17%(95%CC43.66%48.680n)40.11%(95%CI:37.64%42.57%)and9.70%(95%C[:8.21%一11.19%)respectively.Somespecialpsychosocial

10、factorswerefoundrelatedtosuccessfulaging.ThequalityoffifeofsuccessfulagingwashigherthanthatofusualagingorMCI.(4)224individualsaged65andabovewereinterviewedinthesmallsamplestudy.Thereexistedsomesignificantdiferenceinneuro
