1、泛讀,也叫做自由閱讀,是學(xué)生自主進(jìn)行的大量課外閱讀活動(dòng)。本研究中的“泛讀”特指中國(guó)英語(yǔ)專業(yè)大學(xué)生在課外進(jìn)行的自發(fā)閱讀活動(dòng)。和其它的閱讀方式一樣,泛讀對(duì)于學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)技能,例如口語(yǔ),聽(tīng)力和寫(xiě)作等方面,均有很大影響。這一點(diǎn)已經(jīng)得到了很多學(xué)者和研究的證實(shí)。
盡管泛讀重要性得到認(rèn)可,然而,據(jù)教師和研究人員的了解,中國(guó)學(xué)生實(shí)際上在課外時(shí)間里讀得很少,或者說(shuō),學(xué)生在課外的自主閱讀量與其應(yīng)該讀的量之間相差甚遠(yuǎn)。這個(gè)現(xiàn)象已經(jīng)得到教師和研究人員的
2、重視和研究。
為了了解影響學(xué)生課外閱讀活動(dòng)的因素,研究者使用了一個(gè)包含14個(gè)問(wèn)題的調(diào)查問(wèn)卷,該問(wèn)卷改編自早期研究,目的是收集關(guān)于學(xué)生閱讀習(xí)慣和態(tài)度方面的數(shù)據(jù)。對(duì)于收集到的結(jié)果,使用EXCEL進(jìn)行分析。
通過(guò)對(duì)調(diào)查問(wèn)卷數(shù)據(jù)的整理分析和討論,可以了解到:(1)參加問(wèn)卷調(diào)查的學(xué)生課外閱讀習(xí)慣和態(tài)度有哪些基本特點(diǎn)?(2)學(xué)生之所以讀得少,原因是什么?(3)對(duì)于認(rèn)可閱讀重要性的同學(xué)而言,閱讀的重要性表現(xiàn)在哪些方面?(4)學(xué)生喜
