2、ion theory aims to identify and critique the tangle of concepts which relegates both women and translation to the bottom of the social and literary ladder. To do so, it must investigate the

3、 process through which translation has come to be “ feminized”and attempt to trouble the structures of authority which have maintained the association. Among all the factors which influence femini

4、st translation, women ideology is a very important one, which influences every aspect of translation including translators’selection and understanding of the original text and selection of transla

5、tion strategies. Due to different economic, historical and cultural background, western women ideology is different from the Chinese women ideology. Western women ideology is radical and western femi

6、nist translators always adopt radical translation strategies. Compared with their counterparts, Chinese feminist translators, influenced by mild women ideology, prefer mild translation strategies. However,

7、 it cannot be denied that gender awareness is shown in their translation practice. This dissertation tries to do comparative study on the two translated versions of Jane Eyre from the feminist

8、 perspective. Jane Eyre written by the female novelist Charlotte Brontëis a novel full of feminist features. The adopted Chinese versions are respectively translated by the female translator

9、 Zhu Qingying and the male translators Zeng Fanhai and Wu Jianghao. Based on the comparative study of the two versions, this paper discloses the features of translators of different genders on di

10、ction, sentence structure, aesthetic standards and so on, especially the feminist features of female translators. After t he analysis of the two translated versions, it can be easily found that

11、 Zhu Qingying, as a female translator, consciously and subconsciously, is more sensitive to the feminist features and the author’ s emotion and her understanding is closer to the novelist becaus

12、e of her woman identity. However restricted by the traditional moral standard and the traditional translation standard, Zhu Qingying does not adopt radical translation strategies. But her women i
