1、社交媒體在人類活動的各個領域都取得了重要的突破,尤其是在商業(yè)、教育、娛樂、廣告和政治領域中。在第二十一世紀的政治傳播中社交媒體的重要性不能被忽視。奧巴馬巴拉克成功地利用了社交媒體平臺進行了政治溝通、動員和籌集資金,在2008屆美國總統(tǒng)選舉中,它已成為政治家和政黨對選民的方案和政策進行溝通的有效平臺。尼日利亞有2011選舉時,前總統(tǒng)喬納森利用臉譜網(wǎng)在競選過程中與他的支持者進行了溝通。
