2、Chinese type of “Frog Prince“. The author of this dissertation uses some theories on Motif, type, prototype, and also the research methods of cultural anthropology to study this story about Go

3、d frog husband; by explanation of the whole story’ s emergence, development and evolution, the author of this dissertation tries to reveal some unique cultural characteristics of Chinese nationalities and

4、 also some commonalities of the whole human culture; the author here tends to analyze the uniqueness of national spirit and also its rich culture by some illuminations of the type and motif

5、used in this dissertation; In conclusion, this dissertation provides an empirical theoretical study for the exposition of the motif with Chinese characteristics, what is more, it is also a kind

6、 of exploration of research methods to the type of these unique Chinese folk stories. This dissertation is divided into three parts: The first part is an introduction to the personal reasons

7、of writing this dissertation and makes some explanation on the story of God Frog husband and its relative previous researches and the use of some relevant theories and methods. The second part

8、 is the main core of this dissertation, the author of this dissertation tries to do some researches and discussions on that story of God frog husband from a number of aspects and all kind

9、 of perspectives, this main part is totally formed by four chapters. The first chapter makes an overview on the story of God frog husband, and pointes out that this story is actually based

10、on the background of a type of farming society, which reflects the people's pursuit and also their concerns about materials and human means of subsistence production; In Chapter II, the aut

11、hor categorizes the story of God frog husband as many types as followings: the active type, the threatening type, the test type, the frog girl type and also the gratitude type, and then giv

12、es a detailed analysis of these five subtypes from the perspective of the type study; In Chapter III, the author uses the important narrative method of folk stories— Motif study method, to mak

13、e a statement on the following six types of motifs: the story's strange type of baby, unusual marriage, violating taboos, challenge tests, and significant deformation and also the powerful

14、marriage by magic, in order to overcome the feelings of repetition and familiarity that caused by the use of a single motif, and in order to add up to the story’ s aesthetic and its motif
