4、in1967.ItisanonprofitresearchganisationwithheadquartersinBrusselsBelgium.On17April2006anofficewasopenedinBeijingChina.IISIisoneofthelargestmostdynamicindustryassociationsservesasawldfumftheinternationalsteelindustry.Bein

5、gaglobalfederationitisnotinvolvedinlobbyingactivitieswithindividualgovernmentsbutexclusivelyservesitsmembers.Itisindependentglobalinterdisciplinaryauthitative(Figure1).IISIcurrentlyhasamembershipofmethan190steelproducing

6、companiesnationalregionalsteelfederationssteelresearchganisations.Thememberscomefrommethan50countriesaroundthewld.IISImembercompaniesaccountfabout75%oftotalwldsteelproduction.Nearlyallthewld’smajsteelproducersarememberso
