4、p200revenuegrossinglawfirmsFbesmagazine’s200largestprivatebusinessesareinvitedtoparticipateinthesurvey.Inadditionanyprivatesectfprofitemployerwith500mefulltimeU.S.employeescanrequesttoparticipate.Employersgenerallyareran
5、kedontheIndexbasedonasurveythattheemployersubmitstotheHRC.In2010305ofthe590employersevaluatedreceivedaperfect100percentrankingontheIndex.SincetheIndexwasintroducedin2002theHRChasupdatedthecriteriaonwhichemployersareevalu
6、atedseveraltimestocontinueraisingthebaronthecomprehensivebenefitsinclusiveemploymentpracticespoliciesthatemployersmustimplementindertoensurethatLGBTindividualsaretreatedequally.Thenewestversionofthecriteriawilltakeeffect
7、withthe2012Index.Asdetailedbelowthenewcriteriastresscomprehensiveemployeebenefitsfsamesexspousespartnerstransgenderinclusivemedicalshttermdisabilitybenefitsemployeediesbefehispensionbenefitcommences.Employerswithpensionp
8、lanswithjointspousalannuityoptionswillneedtoamendtheirplanstopermitemployeestoelectanannuitythatispayableoverthejointlivesoftheemployeehishersamesexspousepartner.Inadditionemployerswillneedtoallowsamesexspousespartnersto
9、beeligibletoreceiveapreretirementsurvivannuity.Toavoidtheaddedadministrativecomplexityoflimitingthispaymentoptionstosamesexspousespartnersmanyemployershaveoptedtoofferajointannuitypreretirementsurvivannuityfanynonspouseb
10、eneficiarydesignatedbytheemployee.Howeverextendingasurvivbenefitunderapensionplantoallnonspousalbeneficiariescanbemecostlyfanemployertoofferthanlimitingthisbenefittoonlysamesexspousespartners.?Samesexspousespartnersmustb
