1、Based on the investigation of 57 plots in Jingxian County and by using single factor, two factors ANOVA , Duncan's multiple comparison and comprehensive coordinate evaluation method, the effects of site conditions and ma

2、nagement practices on bark quality of wingceltis (Pteroceltis tatarinowii) and property of Xuan paper, and the relationships between bark quality of wingceltis and property of Xuan paper were studied in this paper. The m

3、ain results are as follows: 1. By means of comparison and analysis to the qualities of wingceltis barks which harvested from the soil sites originated from three kinds of different parent rock--limestone,slate and

4、gneiss, the results indicate that parent rocks have markedly significant effects on basic densities, fiber lengths and cellulose contents of wingceltis bark, and have significant effects on lignin contents, while there a

5、re no significant effects on fiber widths, ratios of length to width,ash contents, benzene-alcohol soluble contents and pentosan contents. 2. By means of comparison and analysis to the qualities of 1 to 5-year-old w

6、ingceltis barks,the results indicate that bark ages have markedly significant effects on basic densities, fiber widths, ratios of length to width, ash contents, cellulose contents and lignin contents of wingceltis bark,

7、and have significant effects on fiber lengths, benzene-alcohol soluble contents and pentosan contents. 3. The differences of bark qualities of wingceltis which planted in the different slopes-the middle slope, below

8、 slope and foot of a mountain, were studied. The results show that there are markedly significant differences in the basic densities and ratios of length to width of wingceltis barks from the different slopes, and there

9、are significant differences in fiber lengths and fiber widths, while there are no differences in chemical components among the slopes. 4. Spout numbers (5, 10 and 15 spouts) in each stump have markedly significant

10、effect on basic densities of 3-year-old wingceltis barks, and have significant effects on fiber lengths and ash contents, while there are no significant effects on the other paper-making properties.Compared with the thre

11、e cultivation measures mentioned above, spout numbers in each stump have less influence on the paper-making properties of wingceltis barks. These results show that more suitable numbers of spouts could be maintained so t

12、hat high bark production can be obtained. 5. The effects of parent rocks on the qualities of wingceltis barks are different in the different bark ages. Based on the comprehensive coordinate evaluation, in 1 and 2-ye

13、ar-old, the qualities of wingceltis barks from different parent rock sites is in order of gneiss > limestone >slate (from fine to inferior); but in 3 to 5-year-old, the order is limestone > gneiss > slate. 6. Althou

14、gh the effects of bark ages on the qualities of wingceltis barks are slightly different in the different parent rock sites, they have the same regular patterns: the quality of 3-year-old bastfibers is the best, and 1 or

15、5-year-old is the least, so the 3-year-old wingceltis bark is the most suitable for paper-making. 7. For the properties of Xuan paper, which made of wingceltis bastfibers from 3-year-old spouts in the different pare

16、nt rock sites, the bark qualities from different parent rocks have markedly significant effects on whiteness, means of vertical-horizontal breaking length and means of vertical-horizontal tearing index (a=0.01), and have

17、 significant effects on dispertions of vertical-horizontal water absorptivity (a=0.05), while there are no significant effects on the other properties of Xuan paper. By means of the comprehensive coordinate evaluation, t

18、he properties of Xuan paper which made of wingceltis bastfibers from 3-year-old spouts in the different parent rock sites are in order of limestone > gneiss > slate. 8. For the properties of Xuan paper, which made o

19、f wingceltis bastfibers of 2 to 4-year-old spouts from limestone sites, spout ages have markedly significant effects on whiteness, means of vertical-horizontal breaking length and means of vertical-horizontal tearing ind

20、ex(a=0.01),while there are no significant effects on the others. Based on the comprehensive coordinate evaluation, the properties of Xuan paper which made of wingceltis bastfibers of 2 to 4-year-old spouts from limestone

21、 sites are in order of 3-year-old > 2-year-old > 4-year-old. Above all, the quality of 3-year-old wingceltis bastfibers from the limestone sites is the finest, so is the property of Xuan paper which made of these ba
