5、ment Programming System (DPS) provides programming of Flash EPROM equipped control modules using: ? a PC serial port ? a Vehicle Serial Interface Class 2 (VSI-C2) cable ? a Vehicle Serial Interface UART (VSI) cable ? a V

6、ehicle Serial Interface GMLAN CAN (I+ME CAT) cable ? a Vehicle Serial Interface Keyword (Level Shifter) cable ? a Tech 2 (or other device) that supports the Pass Thru mode ? a Tech 2 with a CANdi Diagnostic Interface for

7、 GMLAN CAN ? a PC equipped with a Programmable Vehicle Interface (PVI) expansion slot DPS will only communicate with control modules that adhere to the GM implementation of Class 2, GMLAN (CAN), UART, or KWP200

8、0 message strategies. The communications cable can be connected directly to the vehicle Data Link Connector (DLC) or to a bench top Off-Board Programming Adapter (OBPA) equipped with a DLC.The DPS will pr

9、ogram control modules with development level security from any supported PC. DPS will only program a controller with production level security if a hardware lock is installed on the PC.Download DPS f

10、rom the Service Operations Programming Tools Page and store it in an empty temporary directory on your hard drive. Unzip DPSINSTALL.ZIP and extract all files to the following DPSTEMP directory: Then run

11、 the setup program from the DPSTEMP directory and the setup wizard will guide you through the rest of the program installation. When installation is complete make sure to delete the DPSTEMP directory and DPSI
