3、in the space dimension (different aspects of the ego)?are in the process of further integration. The developmental process of ego-identity, is a process of deciding which path to follow, as well as a process of establish

4、ing the ambition and forming the achievement motivation. In order to explore the development of ego-identity and the development of achievement motivation of college students. This essay adopted the questionnaires of ego

5、-identity and the questionnaires of achievement motivation, 399 college students were preliminary investigated. The results show that: 1. For the college students, the distributions of ego-identity statuses are unbalance

6、d. About 60% of college students' ego-identity are in a low level, which is mainly concentrated in the status of diffusion -moratorium status ; 2. No significant gender differences are found in the comparison of deve

7、lopment of ego-identity statuses; Significant differences are found in the comparison of development of ego-identity statuses among grades, seniors' ego-identity development level was significantly higher than that

8、of a freshman, sophomore, junior grade; 3. The achievement motivation of college students is in the middle of the upper level, mainly in the pursuit of success; 4. College students' achievement motivation was signifi

9、cantly higher in men than women. Significant grade differences are found in the comparison of college students' achievement motivation, juniors is the lowest, seniors is the highest, showing a upward trend; 5. Signif

10、icant correlation exists in college students' ego-identity and achievement motivation, college students' ego-identity is a positive predictor of achievement motivation. On the basis of the above investigation and

11、 analysis, a group counseling program was established to explore how to intervene the development of college students' ego-identity, and further to explore the relationship between ego-identity and achievement motiva
