1、Unit 2 The United Kingdom,教師、學(xué)生與教材之于我的感觸,學(xué)生就像休眠的火山,只要條件具備,就以驚人的方式爆發(fā)。教師的職責(zé)在于創(chuàng)造合適的條件,激活這些沉睡的因素,從而使課堂教學(xué)有效化,使資源利用達到最優(yōu)。教材是其中的一個工具。學(xué)生的年齡特點決定了他們不歡迎死氣沉沉的課堂。但懾于教師的威嚴,又不敢造次。這樣的假象帶來的短暫喜悅很快就會被低迷的成績無情地覆蓋淹沒。在新課標(biāo)的引領(lǐng)下,充分利用他們寶貴的好奇心和表現(xiàn)

2、欲,教師方可大展鴻圖。這樣的教學(xué)對于哪一方來言都是歡迎備至的。就第二單元來說,關(guān)于英國的話題,學(xué)生絕不會陌生。但僅限于比較膚淺的東西。教師可通過形象生動的圖片展示,靈活的處理和引導(dǎo),再配以翔實的講解,使學(xué)生在理解課文的基礎(chǔ)上,自己將課文所含的深層知識開挖出來。學(xué)生是學(xué)習(xí)的主體,教師在研究如何使其成為主體這個問題上,任重而道遠。,教學(xué)設(shè)計,第一課時 閱讀課Warming Up& Pre-reading& Readin

3、g& Comprehending內(nèi)容簡介: Warming Up 部分要求學(xué)生完成一項小測試任務(wù),了解學(xué)生對英國的了解,并調(diào)動學(xué)生積極的思維,激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)動機。Pre-reading 部分通過三個有關(guān)英國的小問題,讓學(xué)生預(yù)測本文的內(nèi)容,使其大概了解閱讀內(nèi)容。Reading (Puzzles in Geography)從地理、歷史、政治、文化等多角度說明了聯(lián)合王國的形成、發(fā)展、以及它的風(fēng)土人情和人文景觀。使學(xué)生對英國有一個

4、比較詳實的認識,拓寬了知識面,有助于深入地理解和領(lǐng)悟英國語言和英國文化習(xí)俗。Comprehending 部分通過練習(xí)加強學(xué)生對文章的深層理解,訓(xùn)練其概括總結(jié)能力。操作流程:熱身→導(dǎo)入→測試→競賽→預(yù)測→討論→略讀→ 精讀→泛聽→練習(xí)→回顧形式;一賽到底,小組合作具體步驟:展示抽象形狀,讓學(xué)生想像它可能代表的含義。再通過回憶第一單元課文主人公John Snow的國籍,得出它的原型其實是英國地圖,

5、做一個Is it in the UK? Yes or No?的測試來檢查他們對于英國的了解程度.這個測試以及接下來的男女生競賽涵蓋了Warming Up& Pre-reading和Comprehending中的部分問題。此時學(xué)生關(guān)于英國的基本知識框架已建成。再進入閱讀已是順理成章之事。,看到題目,先進行課文內(nèi)容預(yù)測,根據(jù)地圖對英國進行地理描述,討論Pre-reading的兩個問題,讓學(xué)生在閱讀中自己找出正確答案。將文章根據(jù)段落

6、長短劃為兩部分,第一部分采用skim or scan 形式閱讀1-4段,回答幾個相關(guān)問題,讓學(xué)生初步了解英國的構(gòu)成和形成情況,這一階段在國旗上大做文章。第二部分5-6段,回答問題后,通讀全文。將課文按意思分成三部分,概括其大意,并通過段意連線回顧文章結(jié)構(gòu)。最后以泛聽做True or False練習(xí)和復(fù)述英國形成(圖片演示)和英國文化(第四段)結(jié)束本課時。將Comprehending中的write a summary任務(wù)布置為當(dāng)天作業(yè)。同

7、時布置一項開放性作業(yè):從英國所包括的四個國家中任選其一,然后根據(jù)所選王國進行自然分組,通過各種渠道搜集資料編寫信息卡片,然后將成果在全班展示并評比。上交時間為四天后即第五課時開始前。第二課時語言學(xué)習(xí)──詞匯學(xué)習(xí)將Language points 、Learning about Language 中的 Discovering useful words and expressions 及 WB 中的 Using words and ex

8、pressions 整合成一節(jié)詞法學(xué)習(xí)課、應(yīng)用課。內(nèi)容簡介:Learning about Language 部分主要突出通過語境運用本單元生詞、設(shè)計了有關(guān)構(gòu)詞法的練習(xí)和各種與動詞say同義和近義詞的練習(xí)。操作流程; 復(fù)習(xí)課文→自劃重點→學(xué)生講解→老師補充→互批練習(xí)→ 表演體味→總結(jié)形式:自查式學(xué)習(xí)具體步驟:溫故而知新。首先讓學(xué)生朗讀所做的關(guān)于課文的總結(jié),這樣既檢查了作業(yè)完成情況,又復(fù)

9、習(xí)了上節(jié)課所學(xué)內(nèi)容。再讓其挑選并劃出自己認為,重要的詞匯并通過小組合作加以講解。教師的職責(zé)就是聆聽和視具體情況而做的補充。針對繁瑣的Discovering useful words and expressions 中的練習(xí),規(guī)定時間讓其完成,在黑板上書寫正確答案后,采用互批方式,結(jié)束這篇文章的填空任務(wù)。對練習(xí)2則讓學(xué)生speak out 答案,再表演出句子的情景,以此體味詞語的使用。根據(jù)具體情況,如果課堂上未完成WB 中的 Using

10、words and expressions 的練習(xí),可布置為作業(yè),并交給科代表檢查。第三課時語法課──過去分詞作賓語補足語內(nèi)容簡介;將 Learning about Language 中的 Discovering useful structures 及 WB 中的 Using Structures 放在一起教學(xué),上一節(jié)語法課。并將WB中的 Writing Task 在本節(jié)課中同步處理或布置為課外作業(yè)。操作流程:分析句子→找出規(guī)律

11、→學(xué)習(xí)語法→完成書本練習(xí)→復(fù)習(xí)語法→鞏固具體步驟:分析幾個含有adj 、 n 、v 、to do 、v-ing 做賓補的句子,再對接下來的例句中的過去分詞功能加以概括,得出過去分詞做賓補的規(guī)律。從課文中找出類似的句子,讓學(xué)生再度體會過去分詞的用法,并背誦這些含有語法的句子。完成課本上的Discovering useful structures 這一部分的練習(xí)后,讓學(xué)生使用諸如keep the door ( lock);/ have

12、the bike (repair)/ make yourself (hear) /see the door (lock)/ with his hands (tie) 的結(jié)構(gòu)造句。然后展示幾張幻燈片,復(fù)習(xí)消化所學(xué)語法,再以做練習(xí)題結(jié)束本課時??蓪B 中的 Using words and expressions作為作業(yè),下一節(jié)課前檢查復(fù)習(xí)。,第四課時 泛讀課將 Using Language 中的 Reading 和listening

13、以及出現(xiàn)的Language points和 WB 中的 Reading Task 上成一堂泛讀課。也可視時間需要把 WB 中的 Reading Task 部分的閱讀文章布置為課外閱讀作業(yè)。內(nèi)容簡介:Using Language 部分涵蓋了聽、說、讀、寫幾個部分。聽的部分通過張萍玉與導(dǎo)游之間的對話使學(xué)生親身體驗去倫敦旅行的真實情景,既訓(xùn)練他們的聽力,又通過回答問題訓(xùn)練他們的分析能力。讀的部分主要介紹英國倫敦的一些名勝。通過圖片展示,

14、學(xué)生圖文并茂感受異國文化增強學(xué)生文化意識,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生跨文化理解的能力。 操作流程:回憶課文→走進新課→閱讀理解→完成任務(wù)→欣賞景觀→知 識講解→聽力理解具體步驟:重溫課文關(guān)于倫敦的知識,接著讓學(xué)生猜測最吸引游客眼球的應(yīng)當(dāng)是什么,很自然地走進即將學(xué)習(xí)的游記類文章sightseeing in London,并讓其推測今日的導(dǎo)游是誰。這樣學(xué)生就找出了文章的主要人物張萍玉??焖匍喿x找出文中所涉及的名勝。聽課文錄音然后邊欣賞景觀邊

15、填充缺失信息來復(fù)習(xí)鞏固剛才所學(xué)。文章處理完后,及時進行知識點講解。這種趁熱打鐵 式學(xué)習(xí)能起到很好的鞏固作用。由于Using Language 中的listening跟倫敦塔有關(guān),故放在同一課時。課本上的練習(xí)2難度較大,我認為可以將其替換為單詞填空以完整語篇。將WB 中的 Reading Task 布置為自學(xué)內(nèi)容,下一課時檢查。,第五課時 聽說課將 Workbook (WB) 中的 Listening、WB 中的 Listening

16、Task 和Speaking Task放在同一節(jié)課中,處理為一堂聽說課(以聽為主)。內(nèi)容簡介:操作流程:檢查作業(yè)→聽力熱身→討論→完成聽說任務(wù)→作業(yè)布置具體步驟:上節(jié)課布置了Reading Task 為課外閱讀作業(yè),由于不上交,有些學(xué)生可能不予理睬,所以剛開始應(yīng)嚴格檢查開放性作業(yè)。這節(jié)課任務(wù)不重,可以在課堂上檢查其自覺閱讀情況。方法是讓學(xué)生概括每段主要意思,挑選簡單易做的課后練習(xí)隨機抽查,對沒做或做不來的小施懲戒。聽力一向是難點,

17、所以先瀏 覽問題粗略了解,再開始聽就簡單多了。放三遍錄音,分別完成相應(yīng)的任務(wù),將聽力進行有效分解,文章脈絡(luò)也就清晰明了了。再給出一些信息暗示讓學(xué)生討論剛才所聽內(nèi)容,不僅起到復(fù)習(xí)作用,還強化了語言整合能力。聽的太多未免乏味,可以插入簡易可行的游戲或動畫或播放音樂,稍事休息,再以競賽進入Listening Task ,激發(fā)學(xué)生的表現(xiàn)欲和成就感。順便完成了課后作業(yè)如正誤判斷和語篇填空兩題。給出一定時間讓學(xué)生以四人為小組練習(xí)說并請幾組上臺表演。

18、作業(yè)可與當(dāng)天內(nèi)容無直接關(guān)系,讓學(xué)生上網(wǎng)讀報搜集歷史悠久古跡眾多的倫敦資料,制成手抄報在班級展覽。,第六課時 寫作課可將 WB 中的Talking 作為熱身,并使Speaking and writing、WritingTask 和 Project 相結(jié)合,設(shè)計成本單元的開放性作業(yè)。內(nèi)容簡介: Speaking 主要通過學(xué)生表演游客和導(dǎo)游之間的對話的形式完成。通過練習(xí)學(xué)生可以熟練地掌握因沒有聽清或聽懂而請求別人復(fù)述的幾種表達形式。w

19、riting要求學(xué)生參考所給的形容詞和動詞,發(fā)散思維,把自己收集到的有關(guān)某一建筑物或迷人的景觀的資料寫進學(xué)生所在地旅游手冊。學(xué)生需要用最生動的語言進行描述,以鼓勵人們前來旅游觀光。Learning Tip 部分要求學(xué)生在寫作之后,主動將所寫的文章讀給別人聽,進行自評和他評,檢查文章是否語義通順,是否有時態(tài)和拼寫上的錯誤。操作流程:對話表演→重寫句子→研習(xí)例文→學(xué)習(xí)寫作指南→作業(yè)布置具體步驟:選擇家鄉(xiāng)名勝(若無,可假想一處),一人作

20、導(dǎo)游,一人作游客,編對話重點落在游客沒聽懂禮貌地詢問上,有用短語被列舉在課本上以供參考。三分鐘后,選幾組表演,并評出最佳組合來激活學(xué)生熱情。接著進行句子接力游戲,其規(guī)則參照p15 part 2。做完這些熱身,再寫文章就順手多了。P16上又有范文可供參考,還有寫作指南(Learning Tip已被包括在內(nèi))。寫好可先在組內(nèi)交流,再視時間決定展示與否。作業(yè):給住在美國的朋友寫封信,介紹家鄉(xiāng)名勝并發(fā)出邀請。這樣既糅合了Writing Tas

21、k 和 Project 的思想,使教材得到充分利用,又培養(yǎng)了學(xué)生熱愛家鄉(xiāng)的感情,,第七課時復(fù)習(xí)自測課重點復(fù)習(xí)本單元所學(xué)的重點詞匯、短語、表達及語法等,上一節(jié)鞏固復(fù)習(xí)課。(WB 中的 Checking yourself 可視具體情況安排在本堂或留做作業(yè)。)內(nèi)容簡介;Summing Up 部分讓學(xué)生對本堂課的學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容進行總結(jié)、對學(xué)習(xí)效果進行評價,判斷出哪些部分已經(jīng)掌握,哪些還需要更多的練習(xí)。操作流程;聽寫復(fù)習(xí)→自測具體步驟:聽寫單詞

22、、短語、有用句型、句子來復(fù)習(xí)本單元知識,這項任務(wù)大概需15分鐘,可以采取讓學(xué)生課下互批或小組長批閱,自行訂正,教師抽查等方式進行。再給出時間全部復(fù)習(xí)鞏固并做到查缺補漏。至于課本的Summing Up 和WB 中的 Checking yourself 可留到課下進行自測。第八課時 作業(yè)處理課… …,Unit 2 The United Kingdom,Period 1,Warming up
