2、actThe membrane bioreactor(MBR), a combined process of biological treatment with advanced membraneseparation, is a new technology for wastewater treatment. The efficiency of Simultaneous Nitrificatio
3、n& Denitrification(SND) , as well as its relevant affecting factors, were investigated in a submergedmembrane bioreactor fed with the synthetic wastewater in this dissertation. The following results wereo
4、btained:Under a volumetric loading rate of 0.17kgTN /m3.d, HRT of 6h and SRT of 50d, when the COD:TKN(C/N) was 15 and the dissolved oxygen (DO) was 1.0mg/L, the removal rate of NH4 +- N and TN were81.2%
5、 and 83.6%, respectively.Under a TN volumetric loading of 0.36kgTN /m3.d , HRT of 6h and SRT of 50d, when the COD:TKNC/N was 10 and the dissolved oxygen (DO) was 1.5mg/L, the removal rate
6、of NH4 +- N and TN were76.5% and 52.8%,respectively.Under a TN volumetric loading of 0.18kgTN /m3.d , HRT of 12h and SRT of 50d, when COD:TKNC/N was 10 and the dissolved oxygen (DO) was 0.5mg/L, the r
7、emoval rate of NH4 +- N and TN were94.4% and 94.7%,respectively. It was showed that under a certain proper condition, the high removalrate of total nitrogen could be obtained by SND in the S
8、MBR.When the efficiency of SND was high in SMBR, the numbers of nitrifiers and denitrifiers, as well as theactivities of which,were investigated, respectively. It was showed that,compared with the num
9、ber ofnitrifiers and denitrifiers in the primary inoculated sludge, the number of nitrifiers was over 30 timesthan that in the primary inoculated sludge, the total nitrification ability in SMBR was much hi
10、gher thanthat in the primary inoculated sludge. The number of denitrifiers was comparative with which ofnitrifiers and the specific denitrificatioon rate was also comparative with the specific nitrification
